“三软”大倾角厚煤层工作面组合液压支架稳定性分析

针对刘东煤矿72煤层典型"三软"大倾角厚煤层的开采条件,采用理论分析与现场实测相结合的方法,研究了"三软"大倾角厚煤层工作面组合液压支架的稳定性及其适应性。结果表明:组合液压支架的稳定性与支柱的初撑力、初撑力不均衡系数、支柱迎山角等支护质量因素和煤层倾角、顶底板岩性特征等地质因素有关;组合液压支架的稳定性随着支柱初撑力的增大而增强,随着煤层倾角的增大而降低,适当增大组合支架下侧立柱的初撑力有利于提高支架的稳定性;控制支柱合理的迎山角是大倾角煤层条件下提高支架稳定性的重要保证之一。在刘东矿煤层条件下,支柱迎山角宜为6°左右,适应的最大煤层倾角为36.48°。现场应用中通过改善支架液压系统的密封性,防止漏液,提高支柱的初撑力,保持支架及支柱的良好位态,保证了支护系统的稳定性。     

构建“四律”型多维立体反腐倡廉机制

党的十八大以来,反腐败工作坚持＂苍蝇＂、＂老虎＂一起打,彰显党中央反腐败的决心。在重拳反腐的动作同时,更应致力于完善机制反腐,本文提出了反腐败四条＂防线＂,即坚守道德底线、强化法律红线、厘清权力边线、坚持群众路线,以构筑起重自律、强他律、讲互律、受共律的＂四律＂型惩防机制,形成内外兼修、立体防控的多维化反腐倡廉体系。     

Influence of shift work in process industry on workers' occupational health,productivity, and family and social life: An ergonomic approach

Shift work is a major feature of modern work practices. It involves working at times considered unconventional for most workers, such as at night. Although the community often benefits from such work practices, shift work can be hazardous for both the workers and the community. There are increased risks for accidents and errors, increased sleepiness and fatigue due to difficulties sleeping, increased health problems, and disruptions to family and social life. More shift workers complained of sleep disturbance, poor sleep quality, tiredness at awakening, and sleepiness in work than did non‐shift workers. More shift workers also complained of gastrointestinal disturbances than did non‐shift workers. The aim of this article is to provide general information on shift work, work schedules, and the effects of work schedules on sleep, fatigue, performance, the health of the human operator, and productivity. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.     

Youth privacy when educational records include psychological records.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA; 20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is an early and comprehensive federal statute protecting the privacy and release of educational records. FERPA provides parents or eligible students the right to restrict the release of educational records without their written approval; inspect any educational record; and request that the records be changed if the information is inaccurate, misleading, or violates the students’ privacy. When educational records include psychological records, FERPA rules will apply to psychological records as well, even though FERPA rules are sometimes misaligned with APA’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct. These conflicts can be prevented by responsible psychological practices that foster strong partnerships with parents on behalf of their children, respect parents’ and students’ right to be informed about the records that are kept on their behalf, and honor their rights to privacy for information that is immaterial to educational decisions. Coupling reaction with thiols as the efficient method of functionalization of ‘‘clickable” polylactide

The effectiveness of coupling reactions with thiols proceeding under different conditions is compared as the method of polylactide functionalization. Metal-free syntheses of polylactides (PLAs) fitted at one chain end with unsaturated (allyl, propargyl or acrylate) groups were performed by applying acid catalyzed activated monomer polymerization of lactide using allyl and propargyl alcohols or hydroxyethyl acrylate as initiators. Functional PLAs were used for thiol-ene and thiol-yne reactions proceeding according to radical as well as nucleophilic addition. The coupling efficiency for thiols containing carboxyl groups (in comparison with model benzyl thiol) was investigated by MALDI TOF method.

Abstract

The problem of when the Russians started to read the German cipher machine ENIGMA still remains unsolved. A Russian document presented recently in a history of the GRU in the time of the Great patriotic War offers a new light on the problem. In November 1942 the Russians were able to begin reading ENIGMA on a daily basis and were thinking about automating the process. We do not know if incorporating the GRU cryptanalysts in the parallel section of the NKVD helped in the brilliant defeat of the Germans during the “Uran” and “Saturn” operations at Stalingrad, but we suppose so. The Russian solution of the ENIGMA ciphers could be linked with the traitors working at Station X (Bletchley Park) and in Military Intelligence.

Thermal comfort and the integrated design of homes for older people with dementia

People with dementia may have an altered sensitivity to indoor environmental conditions compared to other older adults and younger counterparts. This paper, based on literature review and qualitative research, provides an overview of needs regarding thermal comfort and the design and implementation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for people with dementia and other relevant stakeholders through the combined use of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, and the Model of Integrated Building Design. In principle, older adults do not perceive thermal comfort differently from younger adults. Due to the pathology of people with dementia, as well as their altered thermoregulation, the perception of the thermal environment might be changed. Many people with dementia express their discomfort through certain behaviour that is considered a problem for both family and professional carers. Ethical concerns are raised as well in terms of who is in charge over the thermal conditions, and the protection against temperature extremes in hot summers or cold winters. When implementing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems one should consider aspects like user–technology interaction, diverging needs and preferences within group settings, safety issues, and minimising negative behavioural reactions and draught due to suboptimal positioning of outlets. At the same time, technology puts demands on installers who need to learn how to work with customers with dementia and their family carers.
